ThunderHead Creations Tauren Hybrid Mech Mod
The latest THC Tauren 2-in-1 Smart Mech MOD is a unique and beautiful mechanical tube mod. It features a removable safety chipset, accommodates three battery types, and also comes in a wide variety of finishes. The overall form factor is ergonomic and luxe.
Being rather compact for a Mech Mod, it stands 92.5mm’s high and has a diameter of 26mm’s. Depending on what model you get, the exterior will be made from brass, copper, or stainless steel. The inside is entirely brass; which makes it highly conductible. Furthermore, it can accommodate three different battery types. This includes a single 18650, 20700, and 21700.
The THC Tauren integrates the full mechanical MOD and smart protection Mech MOD in one unit. It can acheive this by way of a removable -X-Chip. This simply means, the THC Tauren is switchable between two modes. In Smart Protection Mode, you will be protected against low voltage, short-circuiting, and also reverse polarity. If you choose to remove the X-chip, it’ll become a standard mechanical device. You can use an 18650 battery in Smart Protection Mode and either an 18650/20700 or 21700 battery in Full Mechanical Mode.
The Tauren Hybrid Mech Mod includes four small notched holes that allow for battery venting. It also features a switch that works off a ball bearing system that provides constant contact. It’s relatively soft and can be pressed from any direction. It hits hard and doesn’t get hot.
The Tauren Hybrid Mech Mod has a range of 3.2 to 4.2 volts and a resistance of 0.1 to 2.5 ohms. Furthermore, the connection type is a hybrid 510. It’s an extremely powerful device that feels great in hand and looks beautiful. The luxury finishes are unique and aplenty. Please make sure you’re familiar with build limits and ohms law whenever handling a mech mod.
