This charger monitors each battery’s charge independently. An LED light above each bay informs you when your charge is complete.  Compatible with all the standard vape batteries of today such as 18650, 20700 and 26650, the Q2 comes with loads of safety features so that you can simply insert your batteries and walk away.  Like any other Nitecore charger, the Q2 is loaded with a full suite of protection features including protection against reverse polarity, short circuit and overcharging – preventing damage to the Q2 unit as well as your batteries. The built-in smart circuit monitors the entire charging process and ensures voltage is always within safe limits.

Optimized for IMR batteries

IMR batteries are prone to overcharging because of their extremely low internal resistance. This could lead to safety issues when charging IMR batteries on devices that are designed for lithium-ion batteries. To address this problem, Nitecore has optimized the Q2 with a system that is able to monitor the entire charging process to ensure that end voltage is always within safe limits – which ultimately helps extend battery life.

This is why Nitecore chargers are popular among vapers who rely on IMR batteries for their mods and APVs.

Battery restoration

The Nitecore Q2 is capable of activating depleted lithium-ion batteries with protective circuit. After inserting the battery, the Q2 will automatically test and activate the battery before charging.

Note: Do not charge over-discharged (zero volt) unprotected lithium-ion batteries.

Charging lithium-ion batteries without protective circuit may cause fire or explosion.

Overcharge protection

The Nitecore Q2 monitors the charging time of each battery. When the overall charging time exceeds 20 hours, the Q2 will automatically stop charging and display a green light to indicate full charge status. This prevents possible overheat or explosion due to battery defect or poor quality.

Reverse polarity and short circuit protection

The Nitecore Q2 automatically detects reverse polarity. If you insert the battery in the wrong direction, the LED indicator of the corresponding battery terminal will flash red in rapid succession.

If a short circuit occurs, the Q2 will also notify you through a flashing red light.
